2. Data minimisation

This website is designed to collect as little data as possible: no cookies, no user accounts, and no sharing with advertising networks. We process only the data required to operate the website, measure aggregate usage, and provide requested email updates.

3. Hosting and server logs

The website runs on our own servers hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH (Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany). When you access the website, the web server processes technical request data such as IP address, date and time, requested page, and user agent. This is necessary to deliver and secure the website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Server logs are deleted automatically after a short period.

4. Aggregate analytics (Umami)

We use the self-hosted analytics software Umami on our own servers in Germany. Umami uses no cookies, does not store IP addresses, and does not track visitors across websites. It records aggregate usage data such as requested pages, referrer, device type, and country. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding aggregate website usage (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

5. Fonts

All fonts are served locally from our own server. Loading a page does not create a connection to third-party font services such as Google Fonts.

6. Contact by email

If you contact us by email, we process the information you provide to answer your request (Article 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). It is deleted when no longer required unless a statutory retention obligation applies.

7. Weekly email updates

If you subscribe, our self-hosted Listmonk installation stores your email address, subscription timestamp, confirmation status, and list membership on our servers in Germany. A confirmation email is sent before the subscription becomes active (double opt-in). The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You may unsubscribe using the link in every email or contact desk@alphajungle.io.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you may request access (Article 15), rectification (Article 16), erasure (Article 17), restriction of processing (Article 18), and data portability (Article 20). You may object to processing based on legitimate interests (Article 21) and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, including the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (BayLDA).
